Gramma's Applesauce

Gramma's Applesauce
My gramma used to make applesauce all the time and I made it the way she used to.  When I asked her for the recipe years ago she said there wasn't a recipe.  
Just mix tart apples
some water
nutmeg
sugar
 lemon juice
together and cook for 1/2 hour.  
I also added some cinnamon.
