Whole Wheat Bread

Whole Wheat Bread

 This bread is made in a Bread Machine

  • 1 5/8 cups water
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 teaspoon yeast
  1. Measure and add liquid ingredients to the bread pan.
  2. Measure and add dry ingredients (except yeast) to bread pan.
  3. Form little well and add yeast in it.  (yeast must not come into contact with a liquid when adding ingredients)
  4. Snap baking pan into bread machine and close lid.
  5. Press 'Menu Select' button to choose the Whole Wheat setting.
  6. Press 'Loaf Size' button to choose 1 lb, 1.5 lb, or 2 lb. (Mine was 2 lb)
  7. Press 'Crust Color' button for light, medium, dark, or rapid crust. (Mine was medium)
  8. Press 'Start/Stop' button

  1. That looks delicious! I got rid of my bread machine a few years ago and when I see loaves like this I regret that decision.

  2. Never had a bread machine. Maybe I can find one that works at a thrift store.
